Boil Water Notice
Effective Date: November 4, 2025, 9:00 a.m.
Due to a line break and loss of pressure incident on 11/04/25, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has required our water system Woden Water Supply, PWS ID #1740020, to notify all customers located in the Kingtown area, CR 552 and connecting roads, not including CR 555 (Marion Ferry Rd), of the need to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, Woden Water Supply officials will notify customers that the water is safe for consumption. Instructions to discontinue boiling will be issued in the same manner as this notice.
Please share this information with all other customers who drink this water, and may not have received this notice.
If you have questions regarding this matter you may contact:
Steve King, Manager 936-715-0307
If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691.
